Cipafilter authentication clients provide a mechanism for silent and transparent network authentication, making it possible to filter users according to their domain credentials without forcing them to log in directly via their browser. The authentication clients enable targeted, group-based filtering of users who are otherwise not authorized to authenticate devices foreign to the network, and they satisfy the "required authentication" subnet option.

Stable authentication clients are the current production clients intended for deployment on live networks. They may be installed on an individual machine basis or deployed via Active Directory or a similar management system.
